Actors Who Cheated Death: Top 20 List

We can learn from the aforementioned adage that one should never take life for granted. Sometimes you have to go through the harshest experiences in order to learn the hardest lessons. We will only discuss that in the list for today. We'll watch instances where famous people were in danger yet pulled through. I'll now give you a list of 20 actors Who Managed to cheat death.




1. Tracy Morgan:

When car accidents are way worse than guns.




In 2014, Morgan was in a car accident that killed his friend James McNair and left the comedian in a coma. 

In an interview after waking up, he told COMPLEX LIFE : "You're never going to be normal after you go through something like that." You don't die for a few weeks and then come back to normal, trust me. Something's going to be missing, something's going to be gained—you just have to live your life after that. "

Morgan was wheelchair-bound for five months following the accident and previously admitted that he contemplated suicide during his painful recovery. The Today Show guest Tracy spoke with Hoda about breaking down when he returned to the hospital to see the staff who helped him recover.

2. Eminem:

The Real Slim Shady Couldn't Stand Up.

He overdosed in 2007 and was taken to the hospital in a critical condition. He was taking 30 Vicodin pills daily in addition to 60 Valium pills.

He developed holes in his stomach from the medications' burning, and the resulting agony led to his compulsive eating and running. He asserts that eating somewhat stopped the agony and sealed the holes with food. Later, he started using a treadmill to run 17 miles every day to relieve the pain. In the morning and after returning from the studio, he ran 8.5 miles.

He was so troubled by his drug use that he was unable to perform for very long before praying it would end so he could binge on more pills

3. Lamar Odom:

When Lamar got humbled by GOD.

Odom overdosed in 2015 and was discovered in a Nevada brothel comatose. 

In 2015, Lamar overdosed on what he later referred to as an "unholy mix of cocaine, cognac, and weed" and was discovered unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel.

After being taken to the hospital, Lamar had 12 seizures and 6 strokes before his heart twice stopped and doctors urged his loved ones to prepare for his passing.

Nevertheless, against all chances, Lamar emerged from his coma and recovered.

4. Amy Schumer:

When schumer went surfing and cut her leg and ended up getting 40+ stitches.

Schumer went surfing during the middle of winter in high school and ended up getting into a nasty accident: "I skegged myself. My whole fin went into my leg, and I had to yank it out. I was by myself," she told Vanity Fair. She says there weren't many people on the beach to help her. I found like one guy with this other guy. I was like, 'I need you to hold my leg.' I was delegating. And he held my leg closed with his bare hands—just fat and blood coming out. I wish I knew who that guy was, because he saved my life, for sure.

Despite surviving the tragedy, she required 41 stitches in three layers as a result of a terrible surfing accident she suffered when she was 16 years old.

5. Leonardo DiCaprio:

Titanic's not only time when jack drown.

DiCaprio has experienced a number of close calls, including an airplane engine exploding on him and his parachute not opening when skydiving. While scuba diving with Ed Norton, he also came dangerously close to drowning, but Norton was able to save him just in time.

During a scuba diving experience, DiCaprio got into a major accident—but Edward Norton saved his life. They were shooting a scene in the Galapagos Islands when Leo's oxygen tank went out. He told Rolling Stone that Norton handled the crisis fast, sharing his tank and swimming them both to the surface.

6. Stephen King:

When King of horror spent an entire month of his life on a hospital due to an accident.

On the afternoon of June 19, 1999, King was out walking near his Maine home, when a distracted driver plowed his minivan into him. King sustained multiple serious injuries, and remained in the hospital for nearly a month.

While King pulled through, the severe pain he was left with afterward at one point led the author to announce a retirement from writing. Thankfully, that obviously didn't stick, and King continues to pen new tales of terror.

 

7. Amitabh Bachchan:  

The time when Mr. Bachchan started praying for good days.

Mr. Bachchan was unintentionally punched in the stomach while filming a dramatic fight scene with co-star Puneet Issar for "Coolie" in 1982, which caused an internal abdominal damage. Mr. Bachchan was conducting his own stunts for the movie when, in one scene, he jumped incorrectly and landed suddenly, seriously injuring himself. He was taken to a local hospital right away, where he was apparently declared clinically dead before being put on a ventilator a short time later.

Amitabh received nearly 60 bottles of blood from 200 donors while he was healing from a nearly fatal accident, one of which included blood that was Hepatitis B-infected. The actor eventually healed from his wounds, but after a few months he was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.

8. Jackie chan incident: 

The Time when Jackie cracked his skull.

Jackie Chan reflected on his time filming "Armour of God" in a 2017 interview with Yahoo Entertainment, describing how a scenario involving a few beers and a tree nearly killed him. The actor had to jump onto a tree from a ledge, and on his first try, he got the shot. But because Chan is a perfectionist, he opted to do it again because he didn't think he was moving quickly enough during the first take.

While filming in Yugoslavia, Chan performed the stunt once again. But he wasn't as successful this time—the branch he was holding onto snapped, which sent him plummeting down the tree and caused him to crack his skull. The actor fell straight onto his back and hit his head on a rock, which forced a piece of bone to pierce his brain, causing Chan to bleed severely from his ear. 

9. Kanye west accident: 

Kanye west wasted.

In 2002, when West was still a producer, he was nearly killed in an automobile accident. In his debut album Through the Wire, which started his rapping career, he wrote about the event. ""If I would have passed that night, that would have been the end of my legacy," he said.

According to Rolling Stone, West fell asleep behind the wheel of his rental Lexus at around three in the morning, which is when the accident occurred. He slammed into a moving vehicle. Both of the other driver's legs were broken, and West's jaw was entirely broken in three places.

 

In an emergency procedure, a metal plate was placed in West's chin, and his mouth was wired shut for more than a month.

10. 50 Cent:

Time When 50 was shot 9 Rounds.

Before he was famous, 50 Cent was shot nine times at point-blank range. He ended up spending 13 weeks in the hospital to recover. His album Get Rich Or Die Tryin' was inspired by the traumatic incident.

He told The Daily Star the experience changed him: "I will be the person with the least amount of fear in the room when we're negotiating business because I'll weigh it up against situations far more dramatic than a deal going bad—like the loss of my mom, or the confusion after being shot. Not knowing what I was going to do with my life after being shot hurt more than being physically shot."

11. Gerard Butler:

When Butler went underwater.

This incident took place during the filming of 2012's Chasing Mavericks. 

When filming 2012's Chasing Mavericks in Northern California, Butler was pulled underwater and dragged across a rocky reef. "This was maybe one of the few times that the reports were not exaggerated. It was a pretty close call…[The waves] just took me and I couldn't get up. It was pretty hairy," he said on The Graham Norton Show.

During a surfing scene butler got knocked down by a huge wave which pushed him underwater for over a minute. Butler thought he was going to die. "You know how people say you get a sense of peace?" he says. "I didn’t experience that. It was violent. Fortunately, he made it out.

12. Sandra Bullock:

Now that's how Sandy B does it.

When arriving in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in December 2000 during a blizzard, Bullock's private jet skidded in the snow. Fortunately, she avoided damage. "But you know, it occurred and we walked away from it and we're here," Bullock told ET. "It was just a freak accident. "I keep thinking, "Wow," as the sheriff kept saying, "Now, if it happened any other way, you would be dead."

13. Joaquin Phoenix:

Phonenix's Car Crash.

Phoenix's brakes failed in 2006 while he was traveling on a narrow side road in Los Angeles, causing his vehicle to tip over and collide with another vehicle. Werner Herzog, a local filmmaker, came out to assist: "The phrase "Just relax" was spoken in a German accent. Werner Herzog's voice has a really soothing, lovely quality. I was perfectly secure and at ease "The Guardian was told by Phoenix. "I exited the vehicle and thanked him, and he left."

14. Johnny Depp:

A little disaster happend before the real disaster.

When Depp and Bruce Robinson were on a small plane in 2011, they almost both perished. In an interview with Live Magazine, Depp stated, "The motors ceased making noise. There was no sound. I believe I asked, "Is this it?" as Bruce and I were looking at each other. It was similar to that strange extended period of time when you're just floating for a split second and you can feel this awful drop." Fortunately, it turned back on shortly after that.

15. Ozzy Osbourne:

Ozzy Crashed!

In 2003, Osbourne wrecked an ATV. He suffered many rib fractures, a fractured collarbone, and a few days of coma. In his autobiography, I Am Ozzy, he described his experience, saying, "I didn't know where I was or how long I'd been there." I would periodically lose consciousness. Other times, a white light would pierce the night, but there would be no trumpets, no angels, and no guy with a white beard.

16. Angelina Jolie:

When Hitman tuned out to be a guy from Suicide Hotline.

Angie even attempted to hire a hitman to kill her in the early stages of her career. She was going through a difficult time because her life was not going well. Fortunately, the hired hitman managed to persuade her not to carry out the plan. It's a good thing that everyone came out of this agreement uninjured even though it didn't go through as it should have.

17. Jim Carrey:

The Truman Show but It's Real.


His assistant contacted him when he was traveling to Hawaii and informed him that they had 10 minutes to live after the notice that was sent to residents of Hawaii in 2018.

Jim gave up on trying to leave the island with his daughter and decided to spend the remaining years of his life gazing out at the water and being "grateful."He made light of the fact that "heads rolled" once it was discovered to be a false alarm.

18. Travis Barker: 

More so than before, Travis Barker snarled.

The drummer for Blink-182 narrowly escaped a fatal plane disaster in 2008, which also claimed the lives of four other passengers. The incident left Barker with third-degree burns of the most serious kind as well as PTSD. But the artist went back to the studio two months later. "Knowing that I still possess my skills was quite exciting. It was still pleasant "In his first TV interview following the collision, Barker told MTV. "I can still go around the kit. Everything seemed to be in order, so I'm grateful I could play."

 

19. Kevin Hart:

Kevin showed heart.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was in a near-fatal car crash in 2019. He had let his friend, Jared Black, drive his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, and Jared lost control of the wheel, and they veered off the road and crashed into a tree. Kevin suffered a severe back injury in the crash that left him unable to walk unassisted for weeks.

20. Isla Fisher:

You can't drown a fisher.

Isla Fisher almost drowned when filming Now You See Me. She was performing a stunt underwater when she became trapped for over three minutes. "My chain got stuck. I had to really swim to the bottom; I couldn’t get up. Everyone thought I was acting fabulously. I was actually drowning. No one realized I was actually struggling," she recalls. The safety latch was eventually pulled, and Fisher was saved.
